Please note you will be asked for information for a background study for the safety of our staff and clients. If you prefer to talk with our Volunteer Coordinator first, call 218-828-1216.

Needs List

Relationship Safety Alliance is grateful for the generosity of our community. Donations help us provide comfort, dignity, and essential items to individuals and families receiving services through our programs. Our needs change throughout the year based on current inventory, seasonal needs, and the needs of the individuals and families we serve.

Donation Drop Off

Please drop off donations outside the front entrance of the Louise Seliski Shelter at 1414 Maple Street in Brainerd during the following donation hours:

  • Mondays: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

  • Wednesdays: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

  • Thursdays: 12:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.

To help protect the privacy and confidentiality of shelter residents, please leave donations outside rather than bringing them into the building. If you would like a donation receipt, please ring the buzzer and ask for a staff member.

Donations are limited to four standard-size bags or boxes per drop-off due to limited storage space and staff availability. If you have a larger donation, or if the scheduled drop-off times do not work for you, please call 218-828-1216 in advance to see if other arrangements can be made.

A Note About Gently Used Donations

When considering donating gently used items, please ask yourself: Would I feel comfortable giving this item to my own child, family member, or friend? Donations should be clean, safe, complete, and in good condition. Please understand that RSA has very limited storage space, and our needs change throughout the year. We may temporarily pause acceptance of certain items when we have sufficient inventory. Relationship Safety Alliance reserves the right to decline donations that do not meet our donation guidelines, exceed our current storage capacity, or cannot be safely or appropriately used by the individuals and families we serve. When possible, we are happy to suggest other local organizations that may be able to benefit from items we cannot accept.

Thank you for your generosity, compassion, and continued support of the individuals and families we serve.
